What Ken is up to over the next 800 miles on the bike....
Ken's charity bike ride blog- Summer 2019
It's heating up this summer which means it's high time Ken gets on his bike and pedals to raise funds for causes he feels strongly about. This summer it will be a one week, 500 mile ride to support a home for at-risk youth followed a few weeks later by a three day, 280 mile ride to raise money to fight cancer. I feel lucky to be able to to raise money for amazing causes while doing something I love.
First up, the Anchor House Ride for the Runaways, a one week, 500 mile bike ride to support the Anchor House Foundation. Anchor House is a home and refuge for at-risk youth in central New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. To learn more about this amazing organization, follow this LINK. This will be the 41st Ride for the Runaways and my 11th year participating in this event. The Ride starts some location 500 miles from Trenton NJ, and the riders, about 160 of us, bike that distance over 7 days and wind up just at the finish just outside of Trenton. This year the ride starts in Auburn, NY in the lovely Finger Lakes region of the state. If you donated to my ride, thank you very much!! If you haven't and would like to, here's a LINK to my donation page. Otherwise, just follow the ride blog. The next entry will be Sunday evening, after the first day of riding.
